(2) SIZERGH CASTLE & BEYOND – 9 Miles
Meet – Cars to layby just before the Strickland Arms on the road to Sizergh Castle. Leave M6 at Junction 36 turn left onto A591 then left onto A590 and follow signs for castle. LA8 8DZ, GR SD 501 867. Note New Car park location.
Walk – Castle, Levens Bridge, Sedegwick, Natland, Briggs House Farm and return.
(3) TOWNELEY HALL ROUND – 7 Miles
Meet – Townley Park (Burnley) Riverside car park (£1.50), BB11 3RQ .GR SD 857 314.
Walk – Towneley Hall, Mere clough, Hurstwood, Worsthorne and return.
(4) WORTHINGTON LAKES – 5-6 Miles
Meet at Worthington Lakes CP on Chorley Road, A5106. GR SD 581 105. Nearby post code: WN1 2XN.
Walk – Lakeside, Arley Lane, School Lane, Winstanleys, Leeds Liverpool Canal.

(1) GAPING GILL/INGLEBOROUGH – 10 miles
Park in Clapham at 6.30am!! SD 745 693.
We intend to walk up to Gaping Gill and try and get a “lift “down into Gaping Gill itself. I suspect that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
(2) ROSSENDALE RAMBLE – 9.5 Miles
Cars to Nuttall Park Ramsbottom, Nuttall Road off Bury New Road, BL0 9LU. GR SD 795 163.
Walk – River Irwell, Bleakholt Dogs Home, The Plunge, Edenfield Church, Irwell Vale Railway Station and return.
(3) STUBBINS – 7 Miles
Meet – Stubbins Street Stubbins, BL0 0ST (left turn before bridge coming from Bolton).
Walk – Stubbins to Irwell Vale via old railway line, Helmshore the Tor and along the river back to Stubbins.
(4) A DUNSCAR ROUND – 5/6 Miles
Meet at Eagley Cricket club. BL7 9PF. Follow Blackburn Road (A666) to Dunscar Bridge. Turn acute right and follow cobbled road to carpark Signposted.

Cars to Ball Grove Park & Nature Reserve CP, BB8 7HL. GR SD 908 404. Turn right off A6068 Keithley Rd, approx 0.5 miles past B6250 Trawden Rd (signed Ball Grove Park) Walk – Winewall, Hollin Hall, Oaken Bank, Bronte Way, Wycoller, Covey Bridge and return.
(3) LIMBRICK – 7 miles
Meet at Black Horse pub, Post Code PR6 9EE.
(4) VALLEY DELIGHTS, PARBOLD – 5 Miles
Meet at the Large lay-by (GR SD 517 109; nearest post code: WN6 9EQ) on RHS of A5209 1.5 miles after crossing M6 from direction of Standish.
A walk in the Parbold area leading via Chapel House Bridge, the Leeds Liverpool Canal and Gillibrand House to Fairy Glen.
