Park at Burrs Country Park C.P. SD 799 126, BL8 1DA.
Walk – Irwell Valley Sculpture Trail, Shuttleworth, Harden Moor trig point, Walmersley Golf Club, Limefield, Burrs.
(2) Two Waterfalls, Two Caves, Hippos and Elephants – 8.5 miles
Cars to Greenfoot CP Settle. Turn right just after the Falcon Manor Hotel and follow the road round. Postcode BD24 9HL, GR SD 820 634.
Walk – Settle, Stainforth Force, Catrigg Force, Jubilee Cave, Victoria Cave, and return.
(3) Limbrick and Beyond – 7.5 miles
Meet & park near Ridgeway Arms, Adlington PR6 9LQ.
Walk – Adlington, upper reservoir, Anglezarke reservoir, Horrobin Lodge, Adlington and return.
(4) Haigh Hall Ramble – 5 miles
Meeting place: Cars to Red Rock car park on right of road, after passing Haigh Hall, just after the traffic lights. WN1 2UW.

(5) Yarrow Walk – 3 miles (no stiles)
Park on Horrobin Lane, near to the bowling green. GR624 143.
Walk on the west side of Yarrow reservoir, The Street and return to the Bowling Green. (Now renamed to the Rivington). Optional lunch at the Bowling Green café.

(1) Whitewell and the Upper Hodder Valley – 10.5 miles
Park outside the Inn at Whitewell and use the area sloping away from the chapel. Grid Ref SD659 468.
Walk – New Laund Farm, Tunstall Ing, Whitemore, Hareden Farm, Dunsop Bridge, Giddy Bridge, Burholme Bridge, Whitewell.
(2) Ashurst Beacon – 8.5 miles
Cars to: small car park on Canal Bank turn right after the canal bridge on Mill Lane or park on Mill Lane. Car park WN6 9AW or Mill Lane WN6 9DA. GR SD 531 096
Walk – Ashurst Beacon, Leeds Liverpool Canal loop.
(3) Wheelton Wander – 7 miles
Meet & park on hill just before The Red Lion at Wheelton, nearest postcode PR3 8WU. GR 600 212.
Walk – Heapey, White Coppice, Brinscall and return.
(4) Eagley Brook Ramble – 5 miles
Meeting place: On cobbled road leading to the Van Leeuwen factory off Crompton Way, BL1 8TY.

(1) Wigglesworth to Whelpstone Crag – 10 miles
Starting from Wigglesworth, SD 810 569.
The route will go via Loscober Laithe, Tosside, Whelpstone Crag, Ragged Hall, Hard Head Farm.
(2) Coal Mines and Mineral Railways – 9 miles
Cars to: Cutacre Country Park Car Park. Rosemary Lane, off A6 Salford Road. BL5 1ED, GR SD 697 055.
Walk – Cutacre, Gin Pit, Tyldesley, Mosley Common and return.
(3) Old Birtle – 7 miles
Meet & park at Bury Lido free car park BL9 6NG Take 1 st right after Clarence Park, Royal Ave.
Walk – Bevis Green, Buckhurst School Scotland Rd, Birtle church and return via Chesham woods.
(4) High Rid and Doffcocker, Figure of 8 – 5 miles
Meet and park at lower end of Old Kiln Lane.
Walk – Old Hall Lane, Circlular High Rid, Doffcocker Lodge, & return via Markland Hill Lane.

(1) Sunnyhurst and Great Hill – 10 miles
Park at Sunnyhurst Wood Car park, Tockholes Road, Darwen BB3 1JX. SD 679 223.
Walk – Roddlesworth Reservoir, Hatch Brook, Heapey Moor, Great Hill, Hollinshead Hall, Darwen Moor.
(2) Midsummer Mellor Drama – 10 miles
Start point: Turn off A59 at the roundabout near Samlesbury Aerodrome towards Mellor Brook. At the next roundabout turn right onto Myerscough Smithy Road and park safely on this industrial Cul-De-Sac. BB2 7LB, GR SD 638 313.
Walk – Old Doozes Oxendale Hall, Mercyfield Wood and return.
(3) Old Favourites Revisited – 7 miles
Meet & park at Riding Gate, Tottington Rd near Grey mare. Postcode BL2 4DP.
Walk – Jumbles, Bradshaw Meadows (Hill at start) and return.
(4) Plodding around Plodder – 4/5 miles
Meet and park at Cutacre Country park car park on A6. Postcode: BL5 1BT.
Walk – over the footbridge to Plodder Lane and circling back via the golf club and fields.
