(2) From The Mere – 10 miles
Cars to Mere Sands Wood Visitor Centre off the B5264, Holmeswood Road, Rufford. The best and biggest sign is for Mere Sands Kennels. Charge £4/day. L40 1TG, GR SD 447 159.

turn right up Barkerhouse Road. After 0.5 miles keep left at major fork onto Town House Road, go past the Golf Club entrance and park on the right.
