Walk – Leeds Liverpool canal, Priors Wood, Dalton, Ashurst Beacon park, Dean Wood and return to Appley Bridge.

The Etherow and Goyt valleys – 10.5 miles
Meet and park at Etherow country park car park, George St, Romiley, Stockport, SK6 5JD. SD 965 908.
Walk – Ernocroft wood, Hollywood end, Mellor church, Brook bottom, Peak Forest Canal, Marple locks, Macclesfield canal- some challenging short ascents with lots of ups and downs.
