Thursden Valley – 8 miles
Meet outside entrance of Nelson Golf Club, plenty of parking on road outside golf club. Kings Causeway, Brierfield, BB9 0EY. SD 865 361.
Walk – Lane Bottom, Shores Hey Farm, Monk Hall Farm, Thursden, Coldwell Reservoir, Catlow Brook, Walverden Reservoir.
12th October
Cockerham Sands and Abbery – 8 miles
Park at Cockerham Community Hall, Main Street, Cockerham, LA2 0EF. SD 466 521.
Walk – to coast via Cockerham Abbey and return via Old Glasson.
19th October
Shaneyford and Inchfield Moor – 9/10 miles
Meet in layby on A681 or 200 yards off road parking, OL14 7AF. SD 890 245.
Walk – Shaneyford (Bacup) and Inchfield Moor loop via Gorpley. Walking pole recommended but not essential, waterproof footwear a must. Machete would be a bonus.
26th October
A Wander From Wycoller – 9.5 miles
Meet in the car park at The Atom above Wycoller Village (please download the RingGo app in preparation). Follow A6068 Keighley Road from Colne, turn right at Laneshaw Bridge onto School Lane which becomes Lancashire Moor Road, BB8 7EQ SD 929 405.
Walk – The Atom, Bronte Way, Deerstone Moor, Trawden Forest, Trawden, Wycoller.
