Meet outside Blackburn Boulevard train / bus terminus in front of the Adelphi Hotel (now closed) at 11.00am.
Walk – A fascinating and varied overview of a town often overlooked. Starting at Blackburn cathedral and grounds, up to Corporation park via town centre landmarks. Rainbow Panoptican, the Tankoptican, shopping centre and market.

Great Hill – 7.5 miles
Meet and park Crookfield Rd carpark just off A675. Nearest postcode PR6 8DZ.
Walk – Great Hill cairn, Belmont, Witton Weavers Way. Moderate hills, mainly flat.

Parbold and Fairy Glen Circle – 7 miles
Meet and park at the lower end of Miller and Carter restaurant carpark Parbold. WN8 7TG, G. Ref: 508107.
Walk – Fairy Glen, Leeds Liverpool canal, Parbold, Newburgh and return.

Ashurst Beacon – 6+ miles
Meet and park at Appley Bridge station WN 69AE. Park at station, along road or side streets.
Walk – Martins farm, Stone Hall, Ashurst Beacon, Lees lane and Leeds Liverpool canal.
