Meet and park at Chapeltown Road car park for Jumbles (Ousel nest carpark) just off B6391 Chapeltown Road after passing Hillside Ave. A brown sign shows “Jumbles Country Park”. Nearest Postcode: BL79NQ. GR: 729 140.
Walk – Turton and Entwistle, Wayoh, and Jumbles reservoir circular.


10th February

Oswaldtwistle and Stanhill – 7 miles
Meet and park on street outside White Bull pub, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, BB5 3QY. GR: 739 269
Walk – The history of the Cotton Uprising/riots of 1826, Duckworth Hill, Moss Hall, Stanhill, Brookside.


17th February

Whittle-le-Woods and Johnson Locks – 6.5 miles
Meet and park at Premier Inn, in front of Malthouse Farm pub, PR6 8AB. GR: 593 204.
Walk – Walton Summit branch of L.L. canal, Whittle Hill Quarries, Denham Lane, Top of th’ lane, Johnsons Hillock Locks.

The Hidden Reservoir – 7 miles
Meet and park at the Events carpark at the side of Moss Bank park (go past the main carpark, follow the road around the park and the car park is signposted off to the left). Postcode: BL16 NB. GR. 693 109
