Blackrod – A shorter walk for all – 4-5 miles
Meet and park at Arley Lane, just past the Goose and Gander, 38 Little Scotland, Blackrod BL6 5LW, Blackrod. GR. 617106.
Walk – An easy walk around Bountiful Blackrod. Refreshments available at pub after walk.

Hills of Haslingden Grane – 6/7 miles
Meet and park in carpark of Holden Arms pub (Helmshore, Grane Road) BB4 4PD.
Walk – A circular moderate walk. with a mix of scenery taking in open farmland, reservoirs, hills, woods and quarries. Some muddy parts!

The Forgotten Valley – 6 miles
Meet and park at the Pack Horse (off Elbut Lane) Heywood, Bury BL9 7TU. GR 835125.
Walk – This walk explores the Cheesden Valley, once a hub of Victorian Industry. Today tumbled walls, peaceful ponds and evocative remains recall this lively past, secreted in wooded gorges and heather moors.
