Clitheroe River Ribble Circular – 8 miles
Meet at Edisford Road CP, Clitheroe (Opposite Leisure Centre) £4.20 charge, cash or card. BB7 3LA. SD 728 414
Walk both sides of River Ribble between Edisford Bridge and Grindleton Bridge.
9th April
Wernside (10.00 start) – 8 miles
Park on Low Sleights Road (B6255) then meet outside Station Inn, LA6 3FH. SD 764 791.
Walk – Ribblehead Viaduct, Gunnerfleet Farm, Ivescar, Whernside (376 mtrs), Blue Clay Ridge.
16th April
Happy Valley – Stoodley Pike (10.00 start) – 8.25 miles
Meet at Station Road car park, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8AU. SD 995 270. The car park is a pay and display and takes cash only. It costs £3 for 6 hours and 50p for every hour afterwards. As Hebden Bridge is a popular town, it may be advisable to get there early to bag a parking spot.
Walk – Hebble End, Pinnacle Lane, Swillington, Stoodley Pike, Withins Gate, Lumbutts Clough, Rochdale Canal.
23rd April
The Four Golf Clubs Walk – 8.3 miles
Meet in the front car park of Lostock Primary School (this is on Glengarth Drive, off Beaumont Road), BL6 4PS. SD 674 088.
Walk – Chew Moor, Chulsey Gate, Fall Birch, Coal Brow, Fleet’s Moor, Delph Hill, returning along the Middlebrook. Along the way we will see four golf courses. (Ascent 800 feet).
