5th April
(1) Altham Amble – 11 miles
Start at Victoria Hotel, St. John's Street, Great Harwood, BB6 7EP. SD 734 316.
Walk – Red House Farm, Altham Bridge, Shuttleworth Hall, Pilkington Canal Bridge, Dunkenhalgh Park.
(2) Garstang to Calder Vale, aka The Kitten Walk – 8 miles
Cars to car park at the top of High Street alongside the Riverview building. Charge of £3.50 for the day. PR3 1EF, GR SD 4915 4529.
Walk – Garstang to Greenhalgh Castle then gentle climb and descent to Calder Vale. Return takes in the old Pilling Railway. Please note no kittens were harmed during the development of this walk.
(3) Haslington Grane – 7-8 miles
Meet at Clough Head Car park, Grane Road BB4 4AT.
Walk – Nab Hill, Haslingden Grane, Musbury Heights, Tenement’s Farm, Rossendale Way.
(4) Red Rock – Haigh Hall – 5-6 miles
Meet at Red Rock car park, WN1 2UW. GR 583 099.
Walk – Leeds Liverpool Canal, Plantations, Haigh Hall, Winstanleys.

(1) A Walk Around The Environs Of Skipton – 10.5 miles
Park in the town centre car park. Left off Coach Street. Grid Ref. SD 988 517 (BD23 1LQ). A charge applies.
Walk – Carleton-in-Craven, Carleton Biggin, Peat Gyyll Head Farm, Cononley, River Aire, Leeds/Liverpool Canal.
(2) Ribchester – 9 miles
Cars to Ribchester car park, small charge. PR3 3ZH. GRSD 64948 35210.
Walk – Ribchester, Longridge, Cutlers Hill, Crowshaw and return.
(3) Clarence Park To Birtle – 7 miles
Cars to Lido car park, BL9 6NG. GR SD 809 122. From Bury Centre take A56 Walmersley Rd for approx. 1 mile turn right onto Royal Ave, car park is on right.
Walk – Chesham woods Walmersley golf course, Cheesden Valley, Birtle & return.
(4) A Ramble Around Summerseat – 5-6 miles
Meet at Summerseat Garden Centre. Please park at the back of the car park. BL6 5QD.
Walk – A walk round Summerseat and return.
19th April
(1) Moses, Fens And The ‘Cote d’azure’ – 11-12 miles
A walk in Lancashire’s smallest AONB. Small quarry car park, Warton, SD 497 724 (LA5 9SD).
Walk – Itinerary will feature Warton Crag, Crag Foot, Jenny Brown’s Point, Cove House, Arnside Tower, Gait Barrows and Yealand Conyers.
(2) Burnsall – 9.3 miles
Cars to Burnsall public car park (small charge, pay on exit), BD23 6BS. GR SE 031 610.
Walk – Burnsall, Hebden suspension bridge, Grimwith Reservoir, Hartlington and return.
(3) Ancient Mines. Through The Times – 7.8 miles
Meet at the rear of Pine Tree Farm next to Aldi off the A6, BL5 1FN.
Walk – Cutacre, Shackerly, Tyldesley, Gin Pit Village, Common Lane and return. Opportunity for a meal at Pine Tree Farm.
(4) Borsdane Wood – 5-6 miles
Meet at Aspull Civic Centre. GR SD 611 078. WN2 1PJ. Turn left 300 yards after finger post on Wigan Lane B5238 going toward Wigan.
Walk – Borsdane Wood, Hindley Hall, Top Lock and return.
(5) Jumbles – 3 miles
Meet at Jumbles cafe car park. Leisurely walk round the lake.
Lunch in café. 10.30 am start.
26th April
(1) A Walk Around Sabden Valley – 11 miles
Park at Spring Wood Picnic Site, Whalley, BB7 9TD. SD 741 361. £1 for parking, card or phone only.
Walk – Read Old Bridge, Shady Walks, The Height, Churn Clough Reservoir, Sabden, Robinson Wood, Clerk Hill.
(2) Hidden Treasures of Sunderland Point – 8 miles
Cars to public car park, opposite The Globe at the end of Main St in Overton, just before the causeway to Sunderland Point. LA3 3HF. GR SD 433 579.
Walk – Bazil Point, Overton, Sunderland Point, and return via Potts Corner. A mixture of roads, fields and pebbly shoreline paths.
(3) Summerseat Circular – 6.5 miles
Meet at Summerseat Garden Centre, BL9 5QD. Please park at back of car park.
Walk – Summerseat, maybe a golf club or a cricket club, possibly a tower, definitely a brook and return.
(4) Step Back To Hollinshed – 5 miles
Meet at Tockholes Information Centre. BB3 0PA.
Walk – Step Back Brook, New Barn, Hollinshead Hall, Slipper Lowe, River Roddlesworth, Roddlesworth Woods, Ryall Fold.
