1st February
(1) Haighall Woodland Park and the Countryside Beyond – 10 miles
SD 596 088 (WN2 1PE). From the A6 take the B5238 and turn right at the small roundabout at Aspull. Follow the B5239 for about 3.5 miles (6km) and then turn left along School Lane to Haigh Car Park. Alternatively, take the A49 and then at Boars Head take the A5106 and after a short distance turn along the B5239 and then along School Lane to Haigh Car Park 2.5 miles (4 km). On arrival at the large CP, take a ticket from the gate which will then open. Payment to be made on leaving.
Walk – Haigh Plantations, L and L canal, Worthington Lakes reservoirs, and return.
(2) Glazebury Round – 9 miles
Cars to Bents Garden Centre, Warrington Road, Glazebury, WA3 5NT. GR SD 672 978. Park at the back of the car park toward ‘click and collect’.
Walk – Bents, Bedford Hall, Pennington Flash, Culcheth Carrs, Hitchfield Wood, Light Oaks Hall, Windy Bank Wood, Bents, Flat walk, few stiles.
(3) Burrs Circular – 6 miles
Meet and park Burrs Country Park, Woodhill Road, BL8 1DA. First car park or on road.
Walk – Kirklees Valley, Tottington Railway Station, Holcombe Brook, Summerseat and return.
(4) Into The Woods – 5.5 miles
Park and meet at the bottom of Lumb Carr Road, near the Hare & Hounds pub, Holcombe Brook. BL0 9RY.
Walk – Reddisher Woods, Greenmount.
8th February
(1) Glazebury Round – 10.5/11 miles

(2) Three Villages Walk – 8.5 miles

(3) A Wander around Wheelton – 7 miles
Meet at the Red Lion, Wheelton Village, PR6 8EU.
Walk – Chapel Lane, Heapey, White Coppice, Brinscal & return.
(4) Burnt Edge – 5 miles
Meet at the Walker Fold car park, BL1 7PT.
Walk – A ramble by wood and moor.

(1) Farm Spotting on Chat Moss – 11 miles

(2) Feniscowles and Abbey Village – 8 miles

Walk – Stanworth, Abbey Village, Rake Brook, Roddlesworth, Tockholes and return.
(3) Moors and Mills Round Helmshore – 7 miles
Meet and park on car park at Helmshore Textile museum. Nearest postcode BB4 4NP. GRSD 777 214.
Walk – A Scenic Walk through millstone grit country, Musbury Heights Quarry, Musbury Tor. Stony tracks and moorland paths.
(4) Discovering Dean – 5 miles
Meet at Overdale car park. Turn right off Overdale Drive, off Chorley New Road, Bolton. BL1 5BU.
Walk – Middlebrook, Haslam Park, Queens Park.

(1) Anglezark Amble – 11 miles

Walk – Rivington, Limbrick, White House, White Coppice, High Bullough Res, Lower Hempshaw, Riv Hall Barn.
(2) Lakes and Moors – 8 miles

(3) Blackrod to Haigh- 6/7 miles
