(1) DOWNHAM FIGURE OF 8 – 10.5 Miles
At Downham turn South past Downham Church and then bridge over small stream. Turn immediately right and CP is 0.1 km on right. (poorly signposted) SD 785 440 (BB7 4BT).
Walk – Worston, Mearley Hall, Nick of Pendle, Pendleton, Mearley Hall, Hookcliffe, Downham.
(2) TOWNLEY ROUND-THE BURNLEY WAY – 9.5/10 Miles
Cars to Townley Riverside car Park Burnley (charge £1.50). It is better to put Townley Riverside Car Park into your SatNav. (If you put in the nearest
postcode it takes you to the car park by the hall, which is about 0.25 mile further on than the Riverside Car Park). Nearest Postcode BB11 3RQ. GRSD857 314.
Walk – Townley Hall, Mereclough, Sneddon Clough, Long Causeway, Holme Chapel, Burnley Way to Walk Mill.
(3) MILL LANE WALK – 7 Miles
Meet at Mill Lane Car Park (turn left at the Gerrard Arms, WN1 1PZ. Follow road round to car park.
Walk – Borsdane Woods to Top Lock along canal to Aspull and return.
(4) AN ANGLEZARKE ROUND
Meet at Horrobin car park, next to Rivington Primary School; nearest postcode: BL6 7SE.
A walk around the Anglezarke Reservoir.

(2) WALK AROUND SCOTLAND – 9/10 Miles
Meet at Worthington Lakes CP, Standish, Wigan (off A5106 Chorley Road), WN1 2XN. GR SD 580 105.
Walk – Worthington Lakes, Aberdeen, Little Scotland, Blackrod, Haigh, Wigan Golf course and return.
(3) WATERWAYS OF AINSWORTH – 7 Miles
Side Road of Bradley Fold Garden Centre SP. GR 759086.
Walk – Fishing Lodges, Ainsworth Old Hall, Old Isolation Hospital, Ponds and Reservoirs.
(4) HEALEY NAB – 6 Miles
Meet at the White Coppice cricket pitch. PR6 9DE.
Walk – Heapey Reservoirs, Healey Nab, Waterman’s Cottage .
(5) WORSLEY AREA – 3 Miles
Cars to Barton Arms Hotel car park, Worsley, M28 2ED. 10.30 am start.
Walk – Canal path to Monton Green, Worsley Delph. Lunch in Barton Arms Hotel.

Picnic area CP on left side A646 approx 1.5m beyond Todmorden, OL14 8SP. SD 954 247.
Walk – Withins Gate, Withins Clough Res, Cragg Vale, Spring Wood, Stoodley Pike.
(2) WYCOLLER – 9.25 Miles
Cars to Ball Grove Park & Nature Reserve CP, BB8 7HL. GR SD 908 404. Turn right off A6068 Keithley Rd, approx 0.5 miles past B6250 Trawden Rd (signed Ball Grove Park).
Walk – Winewall, Hollin Hall, Oaken Bank, Bronte Way, Wycoller, Covey Bridge and return.
(3) WORSLEY – 7 Miles
Meet at CP Stanfield Drive, Boothstown, M28 1NB. GR SD 724 007. (behind Stanfield Centre shops)
Walk – Bridgewater Canal, Worsley, Old Warke Dam, The Aviary, Old Railway Line to Monton and back along canal.
(4) TURTON HISTORY WALK – 5/6 Miles
Meet at Jumbles car park: possible small charge. GR 736 140. BL2 4JS.
A walk from the Jumbles taking in the history of Bradshaw.

(1) WEST OF WHITEHALL PARK, DARWEN – 11 Miles
Parking is on Queens Road on left of A666 after cemetery. SD 697 205 (BB3 2LP).
Walk – Whitehall Park, Polish Airman’s Crash Site, Hollinhead Hall Ruin, Roddlesworth Woods, Fine Peters Farm, Royal Arms Public House, Tockholes, Stepback, Lords Hall, Printshop, Whitehall.
(2) CRANSHAWS – 9.5 Miles

Walk – Cranshaws, Catherine Edge, the Three Lowes and return.
(3) IRWELL VALE TO ALDEN VALLEY – 7.5 Miles
Meet at Village of Irwell Vale Station. Parking PC BL0 0QQ or Disused Factory.
Walk to Lumb, Helmshore Alden Valley, Ellen Stranges grave, Robin Hoods Well and back to Irwell Vale.
(4) YARROW VALLEY – 6 Miles
Meet at Yarrow Valley Country Park car park, off Birkacre Road, PR7 3QL. GD 570153.
Walk – Birkacre, Burgh Hall, Duxbury Wood, Yarrow Valley Park and back to Birkacre.
