Park in Carleton in Craven near the Swan Inn, BD23 3DR. SD 972 487.
Walk – Elslack, Pinhaw Beacon, Towtop Farm, Ramshaw, Carleton.
(2) Freeholds Top And Brow Wardle – 8.5 miles
Cars to Watergrove Reservoir car park. Turn left off the A58 Rochdale to Littleborough road towards Wardle and drive through the village, past the Globe Inn to the car park. Nearest postcode. OL12 9NH, GR SD 911 176.
Walk – Watergrove Reservoir, Rough Hill, Freeholds Top, Hades Hill, Brown Wardle and return.
(3) Euxton And Worden Park – 7 miles
Greenside Recreation fields, Euxton MPPR7 6BL. SD550 192. A49 Wigan Road. At Bay Horse head West along Runshaw Lane, Take 3rd left; then 1st right – entrance gates adjacent to house no 285.
Walk – Millenium green, Euxton Park, Runshaw Moor, Worden Park.
(4) By The Irwell – 5-6 miles
Meet by the side of the wastewater treatment works before Giant’s Seat Garden Centre on Red Rock Lane, M26 1FL. GR 767 046.

Malham Tarn And Malham Cove – 12 miles
Park in Malham Car park. Fee payable. BD23 4DA. SD 900 627.
Walk – New Laithe, Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar or Gordale Fell for those who do not want to climb the Scar, Street Gate, Middle House Farm, Cowside, Pennine Way, Water Houses, Malham Tarn, Rtn to Malham.
(2) Sabden – 10 miles
Cars to Sabden car park (small charge £2.90), BB7 9EW. SD 779374.
Walk – Sabden, Wiswell, Nick of Pendle, Spence Moor, Sabden Fold.
(3) Rabbit Rocks – 7.3 miles
Meet and park on Trencherfield Mill car park, Heritage Way, Wigan, WN3 4BF (post code for Domino’s). Turn left immediately after Domino’s and the car park is immediately on the right. Pay and Display £1 all day.

Walk – Smithills Country Park, Horrocks Fold, Gale Farm, Tippet House.
(4) Smithills Estate – 3.5 miles
Meet at Walker Fold car park, Colliers Row Road, BL1 7PT. GR 675 123.
A walk in the area, a few ups and downs, good views, no stiles. Your lunch stop on the picnic benches in the Walker Fold Car Park

Walk – Upper Settle, Stockdale Farm, Nappa Cross, Langscar Gate, Pennine Bridleway, Victoria Cave, Attermire Scar, Settle.
(2) Hurst Green Circular- 9.5 miles

Walk – Higher Deer House, Ryddings Farm, River Hodder and return via the River Ribble.
(3) Beamers Trail – 6-7 miles
Meet at First Car Park in Pleasington Playing Fields, off Tower Rd, off A674 to Blackburn. Nearest PC BB2 5LE, GR 656 268.
Walk – Witton Park, Yellow Hills, Hoghton Bottoms, Pleasington. There will be some uphill.
(4) Lostock – 5 miles
Meet at the Middlebrook Retail Park, outside DFS. BL6 6JA.
Walk – Barton Fold, Chulsey Gate, Regent Park, Lostock Hall.

(1) Blackstone Edge Moor – 12 miles
Park at the viewpoint car park SD 968 1779 (OL15 OLG) just before ‘The White House’ restaurant and Blackstone Edge res, White Holme res.
Walk – Stormer Hill, Rochdale Way over the M62, Longden End Clough, Rook Stones Hill, over M62, green Withens res. Blackstone Edge res, White Holmes res. Return to start via Pennine Way.
(2) Dove Stone Reservoir And The Trinnical Loop From Greenfield – 8.5 miles
Cars to The Kingfisher, Chew Valley Road, Greenfield , OL3 7AE. GR SD 99356 04602. It has a pay and display car park. The pub is next to a large Tesco supermarket.
Walk – Chew Brook, Dove Stone Reservoir, Yeoman Hey Reservoir, Greenfield Reservoir, Trinnical rocks and return.
(3) Around Holcombe And Beyond – 7 miles

Walk – River Irwell, Stubbins, Buckden Woods, Holcombe Moor Peel Monument.
(4) Valley Delights, Parbold – 5 miles
Meet at the large lay-by on RHS of A5209 1.5m after crossing M6 from direction of Standish. GR SD 517 109. Nearest postcode WN6 9EQ.
A walk in the Parbold area leading via Chapel House Bridge, the Leeds Liverpool Canal and Gillibarnd House to Fairy Glen.
