(2) Arnside, Starting with the Knott – 10 miles
Cars to the promenade at Arnside. Nearest Postcode LA5 0AA. GR SD 455 787.
Walk – Arnside Knott, Arnside Tower, Silverdale, Park Point, New Barns and return.
(3) Sunnyhurst Woods – 7 miles
Meet & park next to Royal Arms, Tockholes road, BB3 0PA. GR 665 215.
Walk – Darwin Tower, Earndale reservoir, Sunnyhurst woods, Weasel farm, Higher hill farm, Roddlesworth Woods and Ryal Fold .
(4) Jumbles and a bit more – 5 miles
Park and meet at Jumbles car park off Bradshaw Rd. BL2 4JS.
Walk – Jumbles, Chapeltown and Turton Tower.
11th September
(1) Arnside Peninsula – 10 miles
Meeting place Cars to Arnside Promenade, LA5 0HA. SD 456 788.
Walk – Arnside, Arnside Knott, Silverdale, Warton Crag, Carnforth. Return to Arnside by train.
(2) Heptonstall – 8 miles
Cars to Heptonstall Bowling green, as you approach the village on Heptonstall road, go left on Valley View Road then left again onto Acres Lane the car park is at the end of the road. HX7 7LT, GR SD 9874 2765.
Walk – Heptonstall, Midgehole, Hebden Dale, Gibson Mill, Slack and return.
(3) Bracken and Birdsong – 7.5 miles
Meet & park top car park Rivington Hall Barn.
Walk – Woodland trails, quarry, view point and return via waterfall trail.
(4) A wander round Smithills – 5 miles
Meet and park at Doffcocker lodge C P
Walk – The Delph Golf Club, Barrow Bridge, Moss Bank.

(1) Lacock & Goose Eye – 10 miles
Meeting place: Cars to park on the street in Laycock at the Keighley end of the village. SE 032 410 (nearest postcode BD22 0PH Village Hall).
Walk – Goose Eye, Bottoms Farm, Morkin Bridge, Scotland Hill, Newsholme, Laycock.
(2) Thursden Valey Circular – 8 miles
Cars to Worsthorne village, Burnley. Meet at the Church Square, BB10 3NT, GR SD 875 323.
Walk – Extwistle Moor, Ben Edge, Swinden Water, Reive Edge & return via Thursden Valley
(3) Heinz Means Beans – 6.5 miles
Meet & park Red Rock, WN1 2UW. GR 582099.
Walk – Red Rock, Leeds Liverpool canal, maybe Heinz, Hough Hall and return.
(4) A Jaunt round Rivington- 5 miles
Meet and park at ‘The Bay Horse’ at the bottom end of the car park, PR6 9ER.

(1) Betwixt the Wenning and the Lune – 10 miles

Walk – Low Bentham, Robert Hall, The Blands, Tatham, Melling, Old Wennington, and Clifford Hall.
(2) Cowling, Healey Nab, Aglezarke and Back – 8 miles
Cars to: The roadside Cowling Road/Weavers Brow near Chorley. PR6 9EA, GR SD 598166.
Walk – Cowling, Leeds Liverpool Canal, Healey Nab, White Coppice, Anglezarke, River Yarrow, Limbrick and return.
(3) A Quarry, a Mill, and a Village – 7 miles
Meet & park at side of Wilton Arms on Belmont Rd, BL1 7BT. GR SD699 134.
Walk – Wilton quarry, Eagley, Andrew Lane, Belmont and return.
(4) Longworth Clough and more – 5 miles
Park at the small car park at ‘The Wilton’ pub Belmont Rd.
Walk – Horrocks Fold, Dunscar, Longworth Clough, Gale Farm.
(5) Barrow Bridge Circular – 3 miles
Meet and park in Moss Bank Park, main car park, Moss Lane, BL1 6LY.
Walk – Barrow Bridge chimney, Tippet House, Smithills school and return to the car park. No stiles.
